The HD matrix headlights give you a taste of what they can do as soon as you switch them on – with an unmistakable projection of light. The light signature on the Touareg is complemented by a light strip above the radiator grille and area lighting and has light projection onto the ground when doors open. There is also a light strip on the rear, while the brand logo in the centre is illuminated in red.

Elegance

HD matrix headlights and impressive 3D LED tail light clusters and an illuminated logo at the rear. The interior includes highlights such as the Vienna leather package, the sill panel mouldings in the front in stainless steel aluminium decorative trim and ambient lighting.

R-Line

The R-Line equipment line is ideal if you want to lend your Touareg an even sportier feel with 20-inch alloy wheels, bumper in R styling, pedals in brushed stainless steel and sill panel mouldings with R-Line logo. And to improve the driving experience even more, there’s the heatable multifunction steering wheel in leader with paddles.

Individual light – to match the mood

The Touareg has x-rayed decorations on board as standard. The elegance equipment line is available with ambient lighting. The lower and upper area of the interior can thus be illuminated in different colours independently of each other. If two different colours are selected, the main colour is adopted additionally for the displays. You can therefore create completely different lighting scenarios depending on your mood.

Completely new perspectives

Huge dimensions for big impressions. The standard tilting and sliding panoramic sunroof covers almost the entire roof and also offers passengers in the rear a virtually unrestricted view of the sky. A little extra fresh air? The front half of the roof opens at the press of a button or extends fully over the rear part.

Your eyes remain on the road

Being able to check important information while also keeping an eye on the road: this is a major advantage of the optional head-up display. Part of the windscreen becomes a projection surface that can display your speed, messages from your driver assist systems or navigation instructions. The projection itself is still clearly legible, even when light is shining directly onto the windscreen. And you can switch off the display at any time if you no longer need it.

More agile steering, more comfortable manoeuvring

With the all-wheel steering, the rear wheels are turned to an angle opposite to the front wheels up to 37 km/h. The turning circle is reduced by more than one metre as a result. At a higher speed, the rear wheels are turned in the same direction as the front wheels. The Touareg is therefore more agile and more stable when changing lanes.

Riding on air

The Touareg lets you decide what type of driving experience you want. Depending on the driving mode, the optional air suspension* lifts the vehicle to a ground clearance of 258 mm. The rear of the vehicle can also be lowered by 40 mm for convenient loading or unloading.

Equipped for pulling serious loads

The new Touareg can tow up to 3500 kg, so for example a boat or horse trailer. The towing bracket is concealed under the rear and automatically folds out and locks in place at the touch of a button when needed. And because manoeuvring with a trailer is not that easy, the standard Trailer Assist can help you when using the towing bracket.

Maintain Traction With 4MOTION All-wheel Drive

No sunshine? No problem. The 4MOTION all-wheel drive ensures that the engine power is distributed between all four wheels according to requirements even on a rainy, icy or bumpy surface. It thus prevents spinning and gives your Touareg increased traction on practically any surface. In other words, comfort first. This includes the 4MOTION Active Control electronic driving profile selection, which allows you to get even more from your permanent all-wheel drive.
