Design
Expressive from the start
With a coupé-like shape, no wonder the Taigo is unique. The car’s sloping roofline leads to a spoiler on the rear highlighting its sporty appearance. A side view of the Taigo is characterised by defining lines guiding your eyes seamlessly from the front to the back of the exterior. The stylish honeycomb grille connects the matrix LED headlights framing the front of the car and its expansive width. Illuminated light strips in both the front and rear of the exterior give it a polished look making it almost impossible to ignore its design-orientated appearance. The logo projection lighting epitomises the car’s modern expression giving it its Volkswagen personality.
R-Line with bumpers in R design
From outstanding spaciousness for bag and baggage, thanks also to the extended wheelbase, to an abundant range of standard features such as the multifunction steering wheel with hard keys or the door trim in the vehicle colour through to the optional tilting and sliding panoramic sunroof that offers passengers an unrestricted view of the sky. You can gently illuminate the interior of the new Taigo optionally in up to 30 colours thanks to background lighting, to reflect your own personal lighting mood.
At first glance, its individualised exterior and interior underscore the sporty positioning of the Taigo R-Line within the overall range. The bumpers are distinguished by their striking R-Line design. In the front bumper, the high-gloss black cross and longitudinal bars of the air intakes convey a unique and charismatic sense of dynamism. Here too, IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights and LED fog lights are fitted as standard. A diffuser –in high-gloss black – with chrome-look integrated exhaust panels in the lower part of the vehicle rear distinguishes this area from the other equipment versions. The optional Black Style Package adds fascinating black exterior accents to the Taigo R-Line. The exterior mirror caps, radiator grille and tailpipe trim are all finished in black, while the darkened side windows and dark rear window shield the interior. The Black Style Package is rounded off with 18-inch Misano alloy wheels in black.
Panoramic sunroof
The Taigo takes the everyday a step further with a panoramic sunroof* which extends across almost the entire interior of the car. With the choice of having the sunroof tilt up or slide open fully, you can personalise your natural lighting and air inflow.

With IQ.DRIVE, trust your Taigo’s got your back. This intuitive technology comes with features such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). ACC can maintain a set distance from the vehicle in front by automatically braking and starting up again when sitting in traffic, making it a driver’s best friend. ACC can also work in conjunction with Lane Assist to form Travel Assist, making your journey safer.

Front Assist
More anticipatory driving than ever before
Thanks to Forward Collision Warning Front Assist with Autonomous Emergency Braking, your Taigo can help reduce the severity of the accident or, ideally, avoid the accident in the event of a collision threat. It can detect pedestrians and vehicles on the road and warn the driver in time. If the driver does not react the system can initiate emergency braking.

Lane Assist
Stay in your lane
As you embark on the journey ahead, a slight distraction is only human. Thankfully, the new Taigo comes with the option of a system camera that recognizes visible lane markings and uses a special algorithm to determine the vehicle’s position in the lane. If your Taigo crosses a lane marking without you using a turn signal, the system provides a visual signal in the instrument cluster, asking you to take over, so you can stay in your lane no matter what.

Park Assist
Fit into any space
Park Assist automatically guides the Taigo into perpendicular or parallel parking spaces and can reverse the car out of the latter as well. The system is activated by pressing a button on the centre console. Using the indicators, the driver selects the side on which the vehicle is to be parked. Once Park Assist finds sufficient parking space, using the ultrasound sensors, assisted parking can begin. The driver selects reverse gear and only has to accelerate and brake in a controlled manner. The system takes over steering.
